I knew a guy who worked for BNSF. Good pay, but his schedule was the worst. He was almost always away from home which is why we’ve lost track of each other over the years. I assume that he either quit or is divorced now.

My company provides services to BNSF. Working with them has kind of been a huge PITA.

Probably 35 years ago, my mom was dating a BN engineer who drove commuter trains around Chicago. She arranged a ride in the cab for me and my brother one time when we visited. What a thrill. I got to blow the horn. Woot!

Ya. Not a whole lot else I’m allowed to say, but the people we work with don’t seem to make up their minds very easily, and cam be very uptight

BNSF goes through my town. Love their colors. This is what I miss the most:

Kinja'd!!!

That was classic engine design. Granted, that was primarily for passenger use. But come the fuck on.

That was also the ATSF not BNSF. But BNSF did run those colors.

You are technically correctl. When they ran those consists they were ATSF. I guess I lump them together now.

Ya, but that F-Unit you posted was from when they never had a thought of a merger with BN.

You are correct again. What I was trying to say is they need to inject some beauty back into locomotives.

Ah, ya but that’s where amtrak should come in. Make all the Old Livery’s come back Like the train from Kansas City to St. Louis look like this:

The freight locomotives would look much better in a more stylish design. Since there a lot more of them, I would welcome it.

Agree - not a huge fan of the BNSF orange/green. Pretty much all the parent road schemes were better, (Cascade Green/Black for BN, red/silver or blue/yellow for ATSF, even the old NP and GN...)

yeah - still not a fan of the post merger orange and green, (even if it is sort of based on the old GN colors.)
